In-home training in Baltimore City and County

Calmer walks for reactive dogs and the people who love them.

If your dog barks, lunges, or melts down at the end of the leash, you're not alone, and your dog isn't bad. I'll help you understand what they're feeling and give you a clear, kind plan to change it.

  • Force-free, always
  • Training at your home
  • A written plan every visit

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • You cross the street or turn around every time you see another dog.
  • You walk at 5 a.m. or late at night just to avoid everyone.
  • A knock at the door sets off a barking storm.
  • You've tried a trainer or a tool that made things worse.
  • You love your dog, and you're tired of feeling tense on every walk.
  • You're not sure what's normal and what needs help.

None of this means you've failed. It means your dog needs a different kind of help, and so do you.

What we work on together

Training happens where the problems happen: your home, your block, and your regular walking route.

Leash reactivity

Barking, lunging, or locking on to other dogs, people, bikes, or cars on a walk.

The front door

Rushing the door, bolting out, and losing it at knocks and doorbells, even the ones on TV.

Windows and fences

Barrier frustration that builds every time a dog walks past the house.

Walking together

Loose-leash walking, check-ins, and calm ways out of tight spots.

Foundation skills

Place, wait, name response, and settling, so your dog has a better option.

Moving off harsh tools

Switching from a prong, choke, or shock collar to gear that gives you control without pain.

We start where your dog can still think.

Every reactive dog has a distance where they can notice another dog and stay calm. That's where training begins. We reward calm attention there, then close the gap slowly, at your dog's pace.

No flooding, no forcing, and no punishment for being scared. Read about our approach.

How it works

  1. Book a consult

Pick a time online. The $75 fee holds your spot and is credited toward training.

  2. We meet at your home

I learn your dog's story, watch their body language, and find their triggers and early warning signs.

  3. You get a written plan

Clear next steps for your dog, including things that start helping that same day.

  4. Train and practice

Sessions build skills step by step, with short homework so progress keeps going between visits.

Hi, I'm Caleb.

I've worked hands-on with more than 300 dogs, and the people I meet most often love their dogs and feel stuck.

I train force-free, using the science of how dogs learn. You'll always know what we're doing and why, and you'll have someone in your corner between sessions.
